Straight Slots

Straight slots are a category of slot machines that indicate the type of jackpot that is being paid out by the particular game, and can also be known as flat rate slots.  The ‘straight’ concept essentially means that the jackpot on the slot game is constant and does not change (as in the case of a progressive slot game).

The jackpot in a straight slots game is determined by a fixed payout schedule in the game that is displayed on the machine. Players are thus able to know that should they manage to line up certain images on an activated pay line, they will win the jackpot.

Straight slots can comprise of different types of slot games, including single line slots, bonus slots and feature slots.  Although the concept of a flat jackpot unites these games, it should be remembered that all slot machines are different, with their own rules, and players should take the time to read up on them and familiarize themselves with the payout table of each machine before playing with real money.
